I absolutely love this article by “A List Apart” published over a month ago:

A List Apart states regarding the debate between design with HTML5 and website design with flash — is that the issue is larger than which one is better. It’s about preference and politics.

Read the entire article it’s a great read — almost 90% of  the way through it they write a part about “people”.  It goes on to say “People matter. Not users, but people. A user is a faceless entity, robotically performing tasks that we test and optimize. A person lives, laughs, cries, loves, hates—and uses the sites and applications we make…”

It’s a great example of the power of HTML 5, being such a huge flash website design fan — this reminds me of the beginnings of the power of flash and all of the demonstrations of what it can do.
