Google’s FTTH Project in design phase

Google plans to build a new Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) network in the US, capable of delivering speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Pretty cool.

Google posted a map showing the locations of the applications and letters of support – the small dots represent a government response, and a large dot represents locations where more than 1,000 residents submitted a nomination.

Flash Design Comes to the iPad

Okay… not entirely does flash content and flash design come to the iPad, however for digital advertisters — it does. Through a mobile ad network called Greystripe. Greystripe is now announcing its iFlash Ad Units product, which will let advertisers deliver Flash designed content to the iPad.

New iPhone for Verizon in in Apple’s Design

Verizon has the best network by most measures, but AT&T has had exclusivity on the iPhone. Designs are made to change — and this one looks like it finally is. Apple might be making a new iPhone that is compatible with CDMA services and that includes Verizon. This is definitely new news ! and it looks like it’s finally happening. Flash Motion Design – Flash Banner Ad – Apple Way To Go!

We have been designing quite a lot of flash digital advertisements lately, so I have been researching it a bit and I have come across quite a few innovative designs and techniques for designing with flash, page takeovers, rollover and flash video. This one by Apple simply does a great job! A classic synced leaderboard / medium rectangle with a nice flash communication to some speaking heads across the other side of the site.
